Imagination is not exempt from reality. It holds all the information we receive from the outside world. 𝘈𝘨𝘶𝘢 𝘑𝘰𝘺𝘢 𝘛𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢 is a series of drawings focused on water over different ethereal landscapes and organic bodies. Images that explore the dispute between the internal and external waters of the world, between fragility and extractivity, between lightness and insidiousness.
If pearls are the jewel of water, are waters the jewel of the earth?

Contemplations:
the persistenc
of a world
It emerged during an artist residency at the Kirsten Kjærs Museum (Denmark), based on processes of observation and recording during walks through nearby forests, spaces where species coexist with the latent threat of indiscriminate logging.
A series of drawings and frottages that document both the beauty of the ephemeral and the lasting traces of deforestation. The drawings are exercises in contemplation and resistance, capturing details of the natural environment that reveal the silent power of what remains. The frottages were made on felled trees, which were marked with violet pigments as material testimony to the fragility of ecosystems.

Contemplaciones: la persistencia de un mundo surge en el marco de una residencia artística en el Museo Kirsten Kjærs (Dinamarca), a partir de procesos de observación y registro durante caminatas por bosques cercanos, espacios en los que conviven las especies con la amenaza latente de la tala indiscriminada.Una serie de dibujos y frottages que documentan tanto la belleza de lo efímero como las huellas perdurables de la deforestación. Los dibujos son ejercicios de contemplación y resistencia, capturando detalles del entorno natural que revelan la potencia silenciosa de lo que persiste. Los frottage fueron hechos sobre los árboles cortados a los que marcan con pigmentos violetas como un testimonio material de la fragilidad de los ecosistemas.
